Two big Tamil films released today, one starring Kamal Haasan and the other features Ajith. So what’s the verdict of these films?
Reports emerging out from the shows completed so far suggest a critical lead for Kamal Haasan starrer Thoongavanam. This thriller remade from a foreign film is said to be delight for movie lovers who appreciate nitty-gritty’s of movie making. Vedalam starring Ajith on the other hand is an out and out unashamed commercial potboiler that runs on expected lines.
However when it comes to commercial prospects Ajith’s star power is helping Vedalam big time. Despite heavy rains across the state of Tamil Nadu, the trade is expecting it to put up stunning numbers. Its kind of win-win situation for both films but obviously the makers of Kamal starrer wouldn’t mind spike in collection too.
