Aha Video Amazon Prime VideoStylish Star Allu Arjun’s Pushpa has released on Amazon Prime Video last night. The Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have released. The agreement was signed three weeks after the theatrical release hoping that RRR will cut short Pushpa’s run in theaters.

But then, RRR got postponed giving chances for Pushpa to have an extended run in theaters. The makers have tried to convince Amazon Prime Video to delay the release but Pushpa being a hot cake release and with third wave around, Amazon did not budge.

The OTT Major is not keen on letting go of its advantage. Similar scenario has happened last year for Ravi Teja’s Krack. Aha Video allowed the makers to break the agreement to give an extended run in theaters for the film. Back then, Krack was a hot cake project and should have been perfect for Aha for market penetration.

But Aha management budged to the pressure of the industry and gave up. Aha may have got some monetary benefit but nothing is same as the advantage they lost. Aha Video should be cut throat like Amazon Prime Video in business.
