Aha Video, which was entirely focused on the Telugu OTT market, recently launched a new OTT app for the Tamil audience. The OTT player has been expanding their Tamil content library for the past few days by adding a few exclusive Tamil titles.
The latest news is that Aha Tamil has acquired the post theatrical digital streaming rights of Tamil star, Karthi’s upcoming film, Sardar.
Aha Tamil had apparently shelled out a fancy amount for the OTT streaming rights of the Karthi starrer which is one of the better-hyped films in his line-up. Karthi had undergone an exciting makeover for the film as he is sporting an old man get-up.
Sardar is a crime thriller directed by PS Mithran. The film has Raashi Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan in the female lead roles. Karthi plays a dual role in the same.
Of late, Karthi has been in a dry run of form of none of his recent outings, including Thambi and Sulthan have struck a chord with the audience. However, he is known for picking new-age and exciting scripts now and again. It remains to be seen if he can make a comeback with Sardar.
