Annupama Parameswaran - Anu EmmanuelThe small to medium budget film segment is becoming a breeding ground for a lot of fresh and creative thoughts in Telugu cinema. It is here that heroines are making a real impression along with the heroes.

In the last couple of days, we have had several announcements where young actresses have been roped in for unique and different subjects. Some of them have been low key in the last couple of years and are sort of making a comeback.

Take, for instance, Anupama Parameshwaran, and Anu Emmanuel. The former has had a relatively calm 2019 with just one release, Rakshasudu. Similarly, Anu Emmanuel disappeared from Telugu scene, post-Shailaja Reddy Alludu. They are now seen playing key roles in 18 Pages and Maha Samudram respectively. The former stars Nikhil in the lead whereas the latter is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual with Sharwanand and Siddharth heading the male cast.

Not only them, but we will also see Nithya Menen and Ritu Varma (of Pellichoopulu fame) in a quirky entertainer called Ninnila Ninnila. It is a BVSN Prasad production. And finally, Aishwarya Rajesh who won acclaim with back to back outings Kousalya Krishnamurthy and World Famous Lover is coming up with a different horror-themed film named Bhoomika, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.

In short, the heroines are making the best of the opportunities, and are working in some very creative movies. Let us see how many of these become a success and help the careers of these heroines.
