Advance Report: Will Yatra Spring Surprise? There has been only one recognizable Telugu movie post the Sankranthi festival, and that didn’t do much to bring cheers. The price turned out to be an issue even though it was moderate. After, two week’s we now have another film hitting the screens.

The new movie is Yatra, which a biopic on the late Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, YS Rajasekhar Reddy. It only focuses on a specific aspect of his life that brought him to power — the journey into the hearts of the people.

Initially, not much was expected from the biopic, but it’s plan to come with NTR – Mahanayakudu was seen as a good strategy. However, in due course, the later got postponed, and Yatra is coming alone relying on the content. The bookings are surprisingly decent all over, considering the low release it has been given. If the talk also comes positive, one can’t rule out a surprise as there will be a political motivation behind it. Also, it could augur well for the forthcoming NTR – Mahanayakudu, given the disastrous reception of the first part.

Yatra comes in Mahi V Raghav direction. Malayalam Megastar Mammootty stars in the lead role of late YSR. The movie hits screens all over on February 8th.
