Adipurush TeaserFinally, the much-awaited teaser of Adipurush has been unveiled. The film has been in the making for more than two years and it’s time to check out if the wait has been worth it or not.

The film traces the journey of King Raghava (Lord Rama) to the island of Lanka with the aim to rescue his wife Janaki, who has been abducted by Lankesh (Ravana).

The teaser opens brilliantly with Prabhas‘ underwater sequence but then as the teaser progresses it is unraveled that it is more of an animated cartoon film rather than a motion picture. The film reminds us of Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan.

Romantic scenes between Prabhas and Kriti look ethereal. Kriti looks divine as Janaki. Prabhas looks better than what was shown in the posters. In an effort to show Ravana as a cruel demon they have made Saif Ali Khan look like Alauddin Khilji from Padmaavat. Sunny Singh as Lakshmana and Devadatta Nage as Hanuman leave no impact.

The war sequences look artificial because of the unreal background and the VFX looks comical and misses the epicness needed for such a film. The Vanar Sena and the rakshasas look like cartoons. The film seems to be aimed at kids than adults. The Jai Shree Ram BGM that comes at the end of the teaser is definitely rousing and ends the teaser on a high note.

Overall the teaser isn’t what was expected from the combo of Om Raut and Prabhas. But now the audience has an idea about what to expect from Adipurush.

The teaser event is being held in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

The film is directed by Tanhaji fame Om Raut. The film is being made in 3D format with high-end VFX. The film is slated to hit the screens on January 12, 2023.
