As if the general interest in the movie Rangasthalam was not enough it is getting additional help with the ongoing strike. While it is not known how long will it continue the ongoing strike is only helping the cause.
Rangasthalam was always going to be the first biggie of the season, but previously there would were other exciting films lined up along with it. Now with strike happening, even the presence of such movies might not really have any effect on the audience. A cinema starved person who previously might have been unsure of the theatrical visit is likely to check out the first biggie after a gap of no Telugu films.
It is an additional advantage to an already keenly awaited film. It’s like how strikes unrelated to movies stopped screening for a while and then when the shows resumed people would flock to the cinemas. There have been few biggies which worked big this way. Now, Rangasthalam also gets to enjoy it.
As things stand today, there is no clarity on the deadlock. We have to wait and see how long it continues. And would that be enough to consider as a significant add-on?
