Malayalam Director turned-actor Mu Kalanjiyam ran in to a serious trouble for an incident on the sets of Kodai Mazhai. In one of the scenes, he had to slap the heroine Priyanka. In order to get natural emotion, he really slapped her. When the scene did not come out well, he slapped her again. This time she fainted on the spot and was taken to a local hospital where it was revealed she sustained severe ear injury.
The heroine’s father is planning to lodge a police complaint on the actor. Adding insult to injury, neither actor Mu Kalanjiyam nor director Kathiravan visited the hospital even once. Many feel that had Priyanka been a leading actress, the crew would not have been so insensitive and indifferent. Meanwhile, Kalanjiyam simply says that it happened to due to a mistime shot and he feels sorry for her.
