Saif Ali Khan responds on MeTooThe Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan who plays Raavan in the upcoming epic movie Adipurush stirred controversy recently with his comments. He has now issued an apology taking back his statements.

In a recent interview, Saif Ali Khan said that his Lankesh from the movie Adipurush would be very humane. There will be justification to the abduction of Sita and war with Ram will be showcased as an act of revenge, he said.

The above statements have led to uproar online. Many trended Saif to be removed from the movie. Sensing the outrage, the actor has issued an apology via an official statement.

Saif Ali Khan says that some of his words have hurt the sentiments of people, and would like to take them back. He added that Lord Ram is a hero and that Adipurush will be a story of the celebration of the victory of good over evil. The entire team is working on the project together to make it an epic without distortions.

Well, this should satisfy the outraging crowd for the time being. However, we have seen in the past that things like this don’t die down quickly. All it takes is another set of words or an image (not to the liking of the people) to bring it back, again.

Adipurush is a mythological drama starring Prabhas in the lead. He plays Lord Ram. Kriti Sanon is expected to be Sita. Om Raut of Tanhaji fame directs the movie.
