Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya has become a big disaster at the box office. The numbers are disturbing and have put stars like Chiranjeevi and Charan to shame. Koratala Siva is getting trashed on social media for his silly execution.
Seeing this debacle, so many comments are being passed that Acharya should have been a direct release on Amazon Prime. The leading OTT came up with a lucrative offer during the second lockdown but the makers did not sell the film.
The movie has suffered prolonged shoots due to covid. At such a time, the industry insiders are saying that had the makers sold the film to Prime directly, they would have made a lot of money and most importantly, the team could have escaped the embarrassment and saved the buyers.
Apart from this, the director Koratala Siva too would have moved on to another project without wasting several years on this project, if they sold it to Prime for a direct release.
