Acharya marks the coming together of Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. It is a really important film for Charan as it is his immediate next outing after RRR. But the promotional campaign for Acharya is going to be a tricky one.
As of now, RRR wave is taking not just the Telugu circuit but also the Hindi belt by storm. With all the emphasis on RRR, Acharya might find it hard to come up with an effective campaign for now.
Then there is Varun Tej’s Ghani, which is up for release on 8 April. With this being a mega hero’s film, the makers of Acharya cannot start promoting the film ahead of Ghani’s release as it might dent the latter.
If they leave Ghani release week, then there will be a mere two week period for Acharya and one might wonder if there is actually enough to promote a big ticket film such as Acharya.
With Ram Charan’s RRR stardom also coming into play, team Acharya will have to operate very carefully. But as it stands, Chiranjeevi’s hands are tied tightly with too many external factors coming into play. It remains to be seen how team Acharya will handle the situation.
