A Typical Thaman Melody Treat For Vakeel SaabAfter two thematic songs, a regular commercial single ‘Kanti Papa’ is out from Vakeel Saab. It is a typical Thaman melody that has his trademark all over.

Right from the start, ‘Kanti Papa’ is on an expected path coming from S Thaman. It sounds familiar, to begin with, but one gets used to it in a few listens. The violin and flute bits are the best part of the song. It stays with the listener long after the song is done.

The bigger problem, though, is the ‘situation feel’ to the single rather than having a timeless appeal. Songs like ‘Kanti Papa’ go with the movie’s flow rather than stand out independently. It is good to listen to, though.

A classy feel overall is maintained across the three singles that have come out. It looks like more to do with the content as there is a minimal possibility to go massy. The fans who have expected a chartbuster album have to be satisfied with a milder level work in Vakeel Saab.

Vakeel Saab is the comeback movie of Pawan Kalyan. It is not an out and out commercial movie like his previous films, and the music too reflects the same. It is also true for S Thaman, who usually works on big mass projects.
