A film in this combination has been in talks ever since the success of the movie. Nothing has been announced officially so far. But, the director has recently revealed that he is indeed working on the film. It is on the upcoming flick in the combination of Superstar Mahesh Babu and Vamshi Paidipally.
Despite the immense success of Maharshi (highest grosser in the career of Mahesh Babu), the fans don’t want a film in their combination. The reactions in social media whenever the topic arises are proof of that feeling.
It once again highlights, that box office glory is not the be-all-end-all. It is also why the ratings need not reflect the box office receipts. The post-theatrical enjoyment of a film matters more, and that has been where Maharshi has faltered. The TRP ratings also give a clear picture in this regard.
It needs to be seen if the star at the centre takes this into account. It is definitely not necessary to take the opinion of the fans into consideration while making choices.
