The first single from Anand Devarakonda’s Middle Class Melodies is out. The Guntur Song, as it is called, is all about Guntur. It is sure to strike a chord with the natives of the place.
The Guntur Song is a short and sweet ode to the city. The lyrics present the speciality (delicacies and other things) in the town through its words, whereas the visuals bring us a glimpse of the hustle and bustle of the place. These factors generate a sense of nostalgia for the people who have lived there and missing it. In doing all that, it also neatly encompasses the ‘middle class’ vibe that the movie tries to capture.
Sweekar Agasthi is the music director for the film. Kittu Vissapragada is behind the catchy lyrics of The Guntur Song. The man of the moment, versatile singer Anurag Kulkarni gives a spirited rendition, as usual.
Middle Class Melodies is the second outing of Vijay Devarakonda after Dorasani. It looks like another simple and rooted film. The first lyrical further set the expectations right. It also brings a sense of positivity over the content.
