AR Rahman who is currently basking in the glory of the glowing reviews received for Dil Bechara has some shocking revelations about Bollywood. When the legend was asked repeatedly on why he composes less in Bollywood, Rahman said that a gang is working against him to sign films.

Rahman said that many false rumours are getting spread on him and hence filmmakers are not approaching. He also added that he didn’t reject Hindi films consciously. It is happening due to malicious rumours.

AR Rahman’s last biggie in Hindi was Mohenjo Daro in 2016. The last full-fledged commercial Hindi film came in 2015. Since then he has been mostly relegated to providing background scores for arty fares. For a composer of his calibre, it was evident that something is off looking at the work. Now, we know the real reason behind it.

Of course, the fans in the South, especially from the Tamil film industry are not complaining. To them, less work in Bollywood means more albums locally. It has been there wish to see Rahman compose and work with latest stars and newer names. It is getting fulfilled. It is the Bollywood music lovers who are the one’s losing on some original and fresh songs.
