The suspense over the music director of Radhe Shyam has come to an end. It is none other than the young and talented composer Justin Prabhakaran. He has in the past composed for the Telugu movie Dear Comrade.

It is without any doubt a brave decision from the makers of Radhe Shyam. As we all know, Radhe Shyam is a pan-Indian project made with a huge budget. The eyes of the entire nation will be on it when its time to hit the cinemas arrives. To have a young composer do the score for a such a elevates his profile, without any doubt.

However, we still have to take the information with a pinch of salt. Will Justin Prabhakaran be composing the music only for the motion poster or will he do the work for the entire movie needs to be confirmed. If it is later, then it would be a brave decision indeed.

Here we would like to bring attention to the director Radha Krishna Kumar, as well. His debut flopped at the box office, but the soundtrack of Jil was as fresh as it came at that time. It was Ghibran’s second Telugu outing after Run Raja Run. Radha Krishna Kumar’s ear for music will be under scanner again with Radhe Shyam.

The hype for motion poster of Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam is slowly but steadily building. We can’t wait to hear the music already. It will be out on October 23rd, on the occasion of Prabhas’s birthday.

An Update:

Well, it turns out Justin Prabhakaran is indeed the full-fledged composer for Radhe Shyam. But, there is a twist here. He does so for the Southern versions (Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada). It is still fantastic for the musician career-wise.

Looks like the makers UV Creations have heard the critic’s voices (we have suggested this long back) and numerous rants by fans regarding lack of ‘Southern’ musical touch for Prabhas’s Saaho. Now, the South will have a different soundtrack (songs) and the Bollywood will have another for Radhe Shyam. At least that is what we get from this announcement.
