Vishwaroopam

In the issue regarding Vishwaroopam’s controversy against some Islamic groups, the talks seeking an end to the ban on the film in Tamil Nadu between the makers of the film and the protesting groups were postponed today.

In this context Kamal’s brother Chandra who is a co-producer of the film said that after a first round of consultations this morning, he had been asked by protesting groups to make cuts of total nine minutes. He said that “I am not technically or morally competent” but that the decision will be made by Kamal Haasan after he returns to Chennai, most likely on Saturday. The actor also said last night that “I don’t think the film will have to be chopped. I will talk to my Muslim brothers.”

However A second round of negotiations were held in the evening today which was offered by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who has strictly defended the ban.
