720 Cr Plus Humungous Box-Office Loss in 100 Days

It has been 100 days of lockdown in India starting from 21st March. According to an estimate and the trade pundits’ analysis on Bollywood new releases during this period would have fetched Rs 720 crore plus revenue at the box-office.

The biggest of the 9 releases would have been Akshay Kumar’s ‘Laxmmi Bomb‘ that could have easily earned more than Rs 200 crores. Specifically, Sushant Singh Rajput’s ‘Dilbechara’ would have been a big treat for his fans who are grieving his demise. Of course, it would have changed the box-office prospects.

Ajay Devgan and Sanjay Dutt starrer, war-action drama ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ is also a big film that would have commanded anywhere between Rs 160 – 200 crores.

Besides these three movies, other Bollywood releases namely ‘Sadak 2’, ‘Gunjan Saxena’, ‘Khuda Hafiz’, ‘The Big Bull’, ‘Shankunthala Devi’ and ‘Loot Case’ would have added to the box-office loot. Totally, Bollywood would have earned Rs. 720 crore plus. But, corona crisis changed everything.
