A normal film takes around 60 to 90 days to complete its shooting. Somewhat bigger film may take a 120 to 150 days in completion of the shoot. And then there are films which takes ages to complete. One such film is director Shankar’s Ai (Manoharudu).
The film starring Vikram has been in making for years now. Owing to the scale and immense budget it was expected to take time in making but even the makers at the start wouldn’t have expected things to go this far. Today is the 700th day in the making of the film and the thing to worry about is the film is yet to be completed. It is only based on the past performances of director Shankar’s film that the makers are giving him a free hand without compromising. Let’s hope that the director has made a product that would be worth the wait as well as the budget.
Manoharudu stars Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead. Directed by Shankar, the film has music by AR Rahman. It is slated to release for Dussera festival later in the year.
