The first half of the year 2014 is over and now we are in the second half of the year. In the month gone by we haven’t seen any biggie in true sense of the word, the real fun begins in a couple of weeks from now. Here are the five films that are generating huge buzz among the audience and the trade alike.

Rabhasa:

This will be the first release among these five films that are keenly awaited. Starring Jr NTR in the lead this action cum family entertainer is directed by Kandireega fame Santosh Srinivas. Plagued by delays due to the health woes of director the film has lost a bit of sheen but still it’s the only film of Young Tiger NTR this year and fans are as eager for his film as always.

Power:

This Ravi Teja starrer will see Mass Maharaja playing a cop full of attitude. The first teaser released for the birthday of the actor was received very well and long wait for a Ravi Teja film post the big success of Balupu is adding to the hype. Will the debut Bobby director keep the success track alive for Ravi Teja and make a name for himself? Find out when the film hits the screens in late August or early September.


Aagadu:

Undoubtedly the most awaited movie of the year, the film finally hits the screen just before the Dushera holidays in September last week. The film brings back the combination of Dookudu with some added attractions. The teaser released in the summer was a smash and took the hype to a whole new level, as if the Dookudu combination wasn’t enough. The trade is expecting it to be the biggest hit of the year. Will the film live up to the general as well as trade hype?

Govindudu Andari Vadele:

This is the film where Ram Charan is going out of his comfort zone. The actor has been so far doing the regular commercial ventures but for the first time he is venturing into a complete family space with this Krishna Vamsi directed film. The director’s poor form and the actor’s first attempt at a family cinema has got the fans worried. The trade however has bet big on this by acquiring rights at huge prices. Will the risk taken by both the actor and distributors pay off? Find out for Dushera.

Gollabhama (W.T):

It is still a working title but Gollabhama has already created excitement among the fans which matter the most to the film. Mega fans have been longing for a good looking, tall and handsome hero for some time and they have got their wish fulfilled in the form of Varun Tej, son of Nagababu. Will the physical features be aided by some commercially saleable skills, is what all the fans are all eagerly waiting to see. Will Srikanth Addala score a hat-trick and deliver what the fans want at the same time? We have to wait till Diwali to find out.
