Bollywood production houses vying for remake rights of super hit South films is a known thing. The latest interest for remake in Bollywood is Mahesh Babu’s ‘Srimanthudu’. There has been a buzz that Bollywood megastar Salman Khan is in the race for grabbing the remake rights of the movie.
Now another hero Varun Dhawan entered the race for remaking Mahesh’s super hit movie. Here the race isn’t between the star heroes but two big production companies of Bollywood companies competing to get the remake rights. One is Eros International, which has already co-produced the original.
The other one is Viacom. While Eros wants to remake the film with Varun Dhawan, Viacom would be betting on Salman Khan. This competition shows that the remake rights are going to earn big amount for the makers of the original as ‘Srimanthudu’ is the second highest grosser only after ‘Baahubali’ in Telugu.
