A grand visual spectacle is what everyone wants from a Shankar directorial. Big things were expected from his last outing, but that did not happen. Well, the director seems to be on a mission to make amends for that, and deliver what only he can in the biggest possible way.
It isn’t therefore surprising that the first thought that comes to one’s mind immediately after looking at the trailer is the grandeur. It lives up to the “biggest-budget” tag with some mind-blowing visuals and action scenes visualised on screen. The entire trailer is filled with them. Yes, some parts look patchy regarding the VFX, but that can be given a pass.
While the visuals and grandeur are the positives, the negative aspect looks like the basic plot based on the trailer. One hopes there is more to it than what we are shown. Similarly, if one carefully observes, the grand moments appears to be from two scenes alone. A stadium fight and the mobile eagle attacking the people. Again, we hope there is more to it.
