2.0 Creates TFI Record - All Set For Another New Benchmark There is still a long way to go for 2.0 to emerge a success in Telugu, but right now it is going to reach a place that helps it set a new Tollywood record. While one of the records was a given, the other is what is very important.

November is usually seen as a dull month for Tollywood, and not many biggies arrive in this part. As a result, we don’t see many big grossers during this period. So, it might be surprising, but Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Damarukham that came in 2012 is actually the highest grossing movie in TFI in November. 2.0 has surpassed that comfortably with over 30 Cr in its opening weekend itself. Unless some other event movie arrives in November, this might be a record for years to come.

The second and most important record is 2.0 all set to emerge as highest collecting dubbed movie in Telugu Film Industry. It was a record set by the same combination of Rajinikanth and Shankar way back in 2010 with Robo. Now, eight years later the sequel is going to surpass it. Robo collected 36 Cr back in its time. 2.0 is going to cross it in a day or two.

Robo was a record-breaking deal at 36 Cr in 2010, 2.0 might not be a success in a similar way as it has to collect more than 70 Cr to breakeven.
