Pak singer Adnan Sami who came to India in 2001, finally got Indian citizenship after repeated requests from the singer. The singer who made India his second home, will be considered Indian citizen from Friday on wards. Pakistan government didn’t renew his passport and hence the singer pleaded to stay in the country on humanitarian grounds.
Right from the beginning, Adnan was saying that India is like second home and when the singer applied for Indian citizenship, his effigies were burnt in Pakistan. But Adnan had been a no country’s man since Pakistan government turned down his passport renewal. The singer made his career as a popular Bollywood singer in India.
Adnan also sang many superhit Telugu songs like ‘Oh priya priya’ in Ishq, ‘Infatuation’ song from 100% Love, ‘Neeve neeve’ from Gundejaari Gallanthayyinde and many others. The unique quality of his voice suits best for regional languages as much as for Hindi.
