1000 Cr Mega Movie Mahabharata Lands in Big Trouble! The makers of multilingual project ‘Mahabharat’ are in deep trouble as the original writer of the novel ‘Randamoozham’ MT Vasudevan Nair has dragged them into legal trouble asking his screenplay back. The acclaimed writer wants to disassociate himself with the project. Dubai-based billionaire businessman BR Shetty bought the rights of the novel to adapt it into a script for making a film.

The contract was for three years and the makers couldn’t meet the deadline. Hence, the writer wants his screenplay back from the producer and the director of the mega-project that is said to be a 1000 crore project. The producer BR Shetty and the director VA Shrikumar Menon issued an apology and tried to convince the writer that they are indeed interested to make the movie.

The project that was expected to go on to the floors in September 2018 has been delayed and that seems to be the cause of concern for the renowned writer who also was involved in writing the screenplay for ‘Mahabharat’ in which the story will be told from Bheema’s perspective. Mohanlal will be playing the lead role as Bheema and many other prominent names are expected to play the important roles in the mega movie.
