Both ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Kabir Singh‘ proved to be blockbusters with the same director helming both the movies and also strong performances from the lead actor who played the title role.
So, who must walk away with the credit? Is it the director who could handle such an intense script or else the lead actor who lived up to the director’s vision of the lead character?
There was the above-said debate when Arjun Reddy became a blockbuster. Once again, the same debate is back in Bollywood.
Must the credit go to Sandeep Reddy Vanga who came up with an intense script and extracted solid performances from his lead actors in both the languages or else Shahid Kapoor who put up a stellar performance.
Here, the Bollywood fans are bringing in the Tamil remake where there is no solid director or hero like Shahid to deliver. So, it’s a debate that can’t go in anybody’s favour just like that.
With just a few lakhs short of Rs. 180 crores, Kabir Singh is now sure to beat the biggest hit of the year, URI and would run towards Rs. 300 crore collections. Before Kabir Singh, Shahid didn’t have a 100 crore movie and he couldn’t have asked for more.
