We Aren’t Copying Arjun Reddy

We-Aren't-Copying-Arjun-Reddy---Shahid-KapoorWhen the director of the original is helming the Hindi remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’ as ‘Kabir Singh’, there would certainly be doubts that it would be a true copy of the original. However, Shahid Kapoor who is playing the title role as Kabir Singh says that they aren’t copying ‘Arjun Reddy’.

So, they are maintaining the raw flavour of the emotions and the intensity but they are also going to see that it is fresh. That means those who watched ‘Arjun Reddy’ must feel that there is something fresh in ‘Kabir Singh’ as well. Though they are trying to do an honest remake and go through the raw emotions ‘Arjun Reddy’ portrayed, Shahid Kapoor promises that they aren’t doing things just for the heck of it.

In his words, the team is rediscovering the story. The backdrop of the Hindi remake would be between Delhi and Mumbai. Of course, we also expect some changes in the script to suit the tastes of the audiences across the country. Anyway, let’s be happy that it isn’t going to be a true copy of the original.
