Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s breakup came as a surprise to many which led to a lot of speculations about the myriad reasons for the same. While theories ranged from impossible to preposterous, there were still many who wanted the couple to rekindle their romance.
As for speculations, it varies from Kohli looking forward to the couple’s married while Anushka was not ready to settle down and instead wanted to focus on her career, to the cricketer being unhappy with Anushka’s decision to work in Sultan opposite Salman Khan. Aside from all these, one of the most shocking reason being gossiped about was Virat Kohli contributing a sum of Rs 40 crore in the film Bombay Velvet that starred Anushka opposite Ranbir Kapoor which ultimately flopped.
However, this is nothing but rumour as the film was backed by one of India’s largest studio, Fox Star Studios India. And even if this were not true, Virat himself has refuted this rumour and said it was not true!
