Thugs-of-HindostanFor a movie of that grand scale that created the opening day record surpassing Rs. 50 crores at the box-office crashing the earlier records, the failure journey turned out to be quite a harsh with collections taking a total collapse. We are talking about ‘Thugs of Hindostan‘ starring Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead.

On Monday, the movie collected a meagre Rs. 5 crore business leaving the trade in a shock as the movie that was made with a budget of Rs. 300 crores, was expected to create wonders at the box-office. Except for the opening day overwhelming collections because of the biggest festival release in the maximum number of theatres and in many locations even the ticket price was exuberant.

Till Sunday, the movie grossed Rs. 123 crores and this total crash down in the collections was expected as the movie opened to very poor talk from both the critics and the audiences with the lowest ratings for the movie. This must be the lowest rating for an Aamir Khan movie in a decade. The mega-budget movie couldn’t run in the theatres properly for even a week!
