A police complaint was filed stating that jewellery worth Rs. 80 lakhs was stolen from the residence of Bollywood star hero Aamir Khan. This jewellery belongs to his wife Kiran Rao. A diamond necklace and a ring were stolen from her bedroom.
The complaint was filed by Kiran Rao’s father at the Khar Police Station, Mumbai. As the thief stole the valuables from her bedroom, her domestic helps who have access to that room are questioned by the police but the stolen things weren’t found even after a thorough search of their homes.
Kiran Rao is basically a filmmaker who worked as an assistant director for Aamir Khan’s ‘Lagaan’ and several other award-winning films with noted filmmakers like Ashutosh Gowarikar and Mira Nair. She turned director with Aamir Khan’s production venture ‘Dhobi Ghat’. She is getting ready for her next directorial venture.
