Bollywood Megastar Salman Khan’s career is nothing short of a miracle. For almost a decade (the 2000’s) he was written off as a star. Many knew his potential, but the erratic choices did no justice to his stardom.
It was at the start of the decade with Dabangg that Salman Khan made a dramatic comeback. It was a blockbuster success, and since then he has been on a bull run. Anything he did paid-off commercially. There was a consistent record opening across the movies.
However, now at the end of the decade, Salman Khan’s glorious run is coming to an end. Ironically, it is the second sequel of the same movie (Dabangg) that reignited the superstardom is paving the way to end of the stardom.
The fans rejected the idea of Dabangg 3, the moment it was announced. Still, Salman Khan went ahead with it. The openings and drop in collections in the weekdays has sealed its fate at the box office.
Over the past two years, Salman Khan has had Tubelight, Race 3, and Bharat, each one being a bigger disappointment than others. He has Radhe (under Prabhu Deva’s direction) and Kick sequel in 2020.
