To repeat the same magic of the original when a remake is made is really tough. That is what happened when a classic blockbuster like ‘Judwaa’ which in turn was a remake of Nagarjuna’s blockbuster ‘Hello Brother’ was remade in Hindi as ‘Judwaa 2‘.
As it happens usually, the remake didn’t match the entertainment levels of the original featuring Salman Khan playing the dual roles. In the remake, Varun Dhawan played the twin brothers while Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez played his love interests.
Made two decades later, the novelty is said to be missing as the story on board didn’t have that universal ad timeless concept that can cater to the tastes of the new age audiences. Except for the lead actor Varun Dhawan’s highly energetic performance, it couldn’t match the original. This once again proves that it is better not to touch the classic movies.
