Soft-Spoken Musician AR Rahman Slams Atrocious RemixThe usually reticent musician AR Rahman is all fuming these days. And he has a very valid reason too. A few of his songs are getting butchered in the name of remix, and there is nothing he could do as the rights are with the music label.

The latest casualty is the iconic song ‘Masakkali’ from Delhi 6. The 2009 film was a musical blockbuster. It finds a place among the very highly rated music albums in the career of AR Rahman, which is filled with classics.

The song Masakkali has been remixed as a promotional video for the movie Marjaavaan. However, it did not come out when the film hit the cinemas theatrically. Instead, it has come out now. The song features the Marjaavaan pair, Siddharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria. Tanishk Bagchi has remixed the single.

Only one listen is enough to state how atrocious the remix is created. The result has been a unanimous condemnation from the team of Delhi 6. Apart from the music director, the lyricist and director have openly criticised the new version. They shared the original and asked people to listen to it. It is the message that comes with it, which shows how angry and frustrated the original team is for the new recreation.
