Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra filed a defamation charge of Rs 100 crores against a textile vendor Ravi Mohanlal Bhalotia in counter to the vendor’s cheating case against the duo.
Shilpa and Raj Kundra held a home shopping channel named Best Deal TV, which faced an immense trouble in 2016 due to demonetization. The firm then called out a short-term suspension of the channel during which Ravi Mohanlal, one of the vendors of the firm has filed a petition against the celebs for cheating him and not paying him an amount of 24 Lakhs.
The celebrity couple was in the news for a while with the case filed against them. Raj Kundra responding to the cheating allegations said that they have the contracts signed appropriately and in fact, the vendor owns them a certain amount for not completing the deals.
Raj clarified that the channel is down due to the business downfall and hence they are winding up the closure works in accordance with the law.
