Post a magnum opus like ‘Baahubali 2’, a film has to be too good to survive at the box-office or it might turn out a complete washout. That’s what’s happening in the case of Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Sarkar 3‘.
The film collected a meagre of Rs. 2.25 crore on an opening day while another film ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ which was released in half the number of screens as ‘Sarkar 3’ collected Rs. 1.75 crores. While RGV’s film got a poor rating, ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ got mixed reviews.
Both the films have very less chance of survival at the ticket windows while the ‘Baahubali’ mania is still in vogue and two new promising Bollywood films are coming next week. RGV’s last film ‘Department’ with Amitabh Bachchan, which also was a wash out collected Rs. 2.75 crores on the first day. Hitherto, it is better than ‘Sarkar 3’.
