‘Baahubali 2’ seems to be all the rage lately; so much so that it is threat to movies releasing alongside it. A rumour about upcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali film ‘Padmavati’ has come up that the film team is about to up the budget, learning from the Baahubali sequel. The budget for the period film was initially planned to be Rs 160 cr but the rumour suggests that it will be increased to Rs 200 cr to make it even more grandiose.
However, this rumour has recently been rubbished by the team of ‘Padmavati’. Debunking the rumour, a source close to the movie informed media that there are “no plans to increase the budget after the success of Baahubali 2. This is totally wrong information.”
He even said that we’ve got the amount for the initial budget wrong. “The budget is not even Rs 160 cr”, he said. “This information is not true at all.” The Deepika Padukone starrer is set to hit the screens on November 17th.
