Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next movie, a period drama titled ‘Padmavati‘ is getting ready for release on 1st December. Meanwhile, there is tension building up as there had been some outfits which are raising voices against the movie.
So, Mumbai police have provided 24 hours security for the Bollywood director and this will continue until the film hits screens and progresses. This security is provided in the wake of the threats he has been receiving. Rajput descendants and other royal family descendants are objecting to the film’s release calling it as a distortion of the history.
Sanjay was also manhandled when he was shooting in Jaipur. Despite Sanjay’s clarification on Rani Padmini Devi’s role and zero scenes between the Rani and Alauddin Khilji, the various bodies of Rajputs are demanding the ban on the movie.
