The news had been everywhere claiming that one of Bollywood’s top actress Priyanka was roped in for an ad campaign to promote Assam State’s tourism and she reportedly demanded Rs.1.5 crore per day, amounting to Rs. 15 crores for 10 day shoot.
However, clarifications came from both sides; the spokesperson of the actress and also the government sources confirming that she didn’t demand any remuneration for the ad campaign. She was indeed approached to feature in the advertisement to promote tourism in the State.
Priyanka is currently busy with her international project ‘Quantico’ and hence not in a position to allot dates for the shooting of the ad. But she is interested to promote Assam tourism. Let’s hope, the star actress gets time for a government programme that would help to improve the finances of a State which is recently affected by floods and also hit by financial crisis.
