Under Pressure – Padmavati Indefinitely Postponed The film Padmavati which has been under immense pressure from various fringe outfits across the nation has been postponed. The makers have officially made the announcement. It is indefinitely moved, and a new release date will be announced later.

For the past two weeks, the controversies over Padmavati has escalated with each passing day. It reached such a situation that the makers received death threats and had to show the movie privately to the media before official Censor so that they could calm the fringe elements. The move has backfired, and Censor board has got angry. They have now cited a rule that hasn’t been active for years to delay the Censor process.

With so much happening and the Censor work still to be done, the makers were left with no choice. It must also be remembered here that the ruling government is going to elections during the same period as the film was planned and they thought, its release could have a substantial effect. The polls get over on December 14th which means the film is likely to release only after that. Will the opposition make it a big issue? Let’s wait and watch.
