It all started with 3 Idiots for Aamir Khan. It gained a cult following in China. The film, however, had an insufficient release which restricted its box office potential. The benefits of seeds sown by 3 Idiots were seen with PK and Dhoom 3 movies. And the then the historic Dangal happened.
Now, Aamir Khan’s latest release Secret Superstar has opened in China with a more significant opening day than Dangal. The fluke narrative is now gone as the actor has opened a small film with a supporting role to a 7 Million opening day. Aamir Khan is now a superstar in China, and it has to be seen where he takes Secret Superstar in the long run. As of now, the opening weekend is going to be huge with more than 20 Million a surety.
