The latest buzz in the Bollywood world is regarding the super hit thriller ‘Kahaani’ featuring actress Vidya Balan. Apparently, the talks about a much-anticipated sequel turn out to be true and was recently confirmed by the film’s director, Sujoy Ghosh, in a twitter post as he shared a picture of a clapperboard with ‘Kahaani 2’ written on it. We also hear that the sequel will feature well-known Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal in the leading role alongside Balan, the two working together for the first time.
The award winning (5 Filmfares and 3 National Film awards) suspense thriller film made over 1 million worldwide in a short time and expectations regarding the sequel are much higher. ‘Kahaani 2’ will be produced by Jayantilal Gada and will have a very different storyline.
The highly successful film had been remade in other languages including Telugu but the Telugu version didn’t work so well on the box office. After the bad fate of the prequel, we’re only wondering if any director from the Telugu film industry will be interested in making the sequel.
