Sexually coloured comments on actresses have become very common by people who have these preconceived notions that women in the glamour field are soft targets and they have all the right to make derogatory comments on the actresses in the glamour field.
A 57-year old man, Dhananjay Kudtarkar who belongs to Pune made a sexually coloured remark on Urmila Matondkar, the ‘Rangeela’ girl who shook the entire nation in 1995 with her glamour.
Police registered a complaint on the 57-year-old and are investigating into it. They have booked him under 354 (A)1 (4), the section that states that sexually coloured remarks on a woman are equal to sexual harassment.
So far, the police didn’t arrest the man but are investigating. This complaint against Dhananjay must be a lesson to others who think they can say anything on social media platforms.
Recently, Urmila Matondkar turned politician and contested under Indian National Congress party ticket for Lok Sabha from Mumbai North constituency but lost the election. Nevertheless, the actress turned politician expressed her gratitude for the voters who voted for her.
