Ever since the Harvey Weinstein’s sexual harassment stories were revealed by the Hollywood actresses (Check here), many from Bollywood too started to share their experience in similar situations in Bollywood industry admitting that the B-Town too hosts the casting couch culture.
Koechlin revealed her experience of the casting couch to the latest adding to the common issue that an actor faces in a film industry despite the boundaries. She said that she was in such situations too and yet she was courageous enough to escape the grip of it for her being slippery and which is how she got out of its grip always.
“The minute I felt uncomfortable, I walked away,” Kalki says. Not just Kalki, quite a few actresses from Bollywood have admitted the fact of the existence of Casting couch in the film industry. Radhika Apte is one of them who confessed that she was asked to sleep with the producer to be cast in a film but she said no and turned away. It always feels sad to hear such experiences. Every actor should stand to the ground in such situations and learn to say no, till the beasts learn to behave ethically.
