The classic blockbuster Hello Brother starring Akkineni Nagarjuna was remade in Hindi as Judwaa. It starred Salman Khan in the lead role. Now two decades later the sequel to Judwaa is coming titled Judwaa 2. Young hero Varun Dhawan heads the commercial entertainer.
Well, looking at the trailer it doesn’t feel like a sequel for sure, it is more like another movie with the same concept as the first film. It looks like a rehash of the old version with a different setting. Even the music is reused. Unfortunately, the trailer doesn’t give a positive impression and looks like trying too hard to be funny and massy at the same time. The humor seems very forced and lacks the natural timing of the original.
Check out the trailer below. Varun Dhawan’s father David Dhawan directs Judwaa 2. Incidentally, he has made Judwa with Salman Khan. Judwaa 2 will hit theaters on September 29 for Dussera festival.
