Narendra Modi’s strong decision of demonetizing Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomination notes has had mixed reactions by the public. With the noble cause of eradicating black money at its core and with the problems faced by the public, everyone has to choose their side.
While many celebs including most of the Bachchan clan are in support of this decision, renowned veteran actor and wife of the Big-B, Jaya Bachchan, has come out in disagreement with the decision.
Mrs. Bachchan was present at a protest being held against the demonetization at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, of which West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was a part. While husband Amitabh Bachchan, son Abhishek, and daughter-in-law Aishwarya have all announced their support, Jaya who is a member of the Samajwadi Party chose to take action against the demonetization by accepting Mamata Banerjee’s invitation to a ‘dharna’ against the decision.
