Disaster Ratings for Most Anticipated Film - ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’Much awaited film ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ recently hit the screens on Friday and the reviews aren’t quite what was expected. The movie, a satirical romantic comedy that works on bringing the issue of lack of proper toilets in the rural areas of India, fails due to the bad execution of a good idea.

Featuring renowned actor Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead, the film shows the love story of a newly married couple Meanwhile addressing the issue of open defecation which is still highly prevalent in India. Taking help from the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, the movie comes off more as a campaign. While the portrayal of Akshay Kumar’s Keshav was wonderful and new comer Bhumi Pednekar, outstanding, the film had many problems.

‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ seems quite dull, the good fight a little too long and sometimes even downright gross. All in all, a three-hour film about something that can be learned within 15 minutes seems just not worth it.
