The trailer of the last biggie of the year in Bollywood, Dabangg 3 is out. It has one and only Salman Khan in the lead reprising his iconic cop Chulbul Pandey act for the third time.
Right from the opening second until the end, it is clear what the makers of Dabangg 3 have in mind. The only aim is to entertain the fans of Salman Khan no matter how over the top it is. We are okay with ‘over the top’ aspect. The star, on his part, does only what he can do and what he does all the time, one more time. Every moment and dialogue is catering to the fans. As far as the story goes, it is about how Chulbul becomes Chulbul, the ‘Policewala Gunda’ aka Rowdy Cop.
There is a feeling of low brow masala entertainer in the offering. Prabhu Deva’s direction is what gives us that feeling. We have seen all this before in different setup and with another star. Can he make it all look fresh is the question.
Sudeep plays the villain in Dabangg 3, which is the only fresh element here. However, he too seems to be stuck with a routine villainous part here, based on the glimpses. Sonakshi Sinha seems to redo her flower pot act. Saiee, daughter of Mahesh Majrekar, is making her debut with the movie.
