‘Art imitates life’ they say. However, taking the film world into consideration, it goes the other way round; we can see the deep influence television and films have on their audience. At times, that influence can become destructive, especially when it comes to the stunts seen in movies these days.
Several incidents have been observed where youngsters trying to imitate stunts performed in movies which did not end well. For instance, the tragic incident where a 27-year-old performed the ‘Baahubali’ jump which resulted in his death or Hrithik Roshan’s jump in ‘Krrishh’ attempted by a 21-year-old who ended up with fractured arms and legs.
The most recent one to be added to the pile is Aman Mishra, an ardent Tiger Shroff fan, who uploaded a video of himself jumping off a 13-feet wall hoping to impress the actor. Shroff, however, took up the role of good adult and discouraged the kid who soon realized his mistake.
Tiger Shroff’s response to Aman’s initial tweet was “Sorry…but that’s so stupid of u to try something like that, never risk ur life. When action heroes perform something alike on screens, they do it with safety and under the supervision of professionals. Never ever try doing all this on ur own. #disappointedtoseethis”
