A few media reports suggest that CBI has finished its probe in Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. Sources say that the country’s premier investigating agency found no evidence of any conspiracy or foul play. They say CBI may submit the closure report soon.
On the other side, the Drugs angle which surfaced in connection to this case will be continued to be probed by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). ED is also probing the possible money laundering through Sushant’s accounts and companies.
The actor was found dead in his apartment on June 14. Meanwhile, the AIIMS panel which was looking at the forensic details of the matter has ruled out the possibility of murder in Sushant’s case. Mumbai Police initially probed the case and declared that the actor had died by suicide.
The case has subsequently been taken over by CBI, with Narcotics Control Bureau and Enforcement Directorate joining the investigation. Sushant’s Girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik were arrested in the Drugs case and the actress is currently out on bail.
