Bhansali 'Padmavati' Played Spoilsport for Rana 'The Ghazi Attack'The recent incident when Bollywood top filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was man-handled by a group of people claiming themselves to be historical-police seems to have been the apparent reason behind CBFC’s guidance to Rana’s upcoming historical movie ‘Ghazi’ based on the Pak submarine used during 1971 Indo-Pak war.

CBFC has asked the makers of ‘Ghazi‘ to remove the disclaimer in the titles of the film. The disclaimer said that ‘Ghazi’ is a movie made on historical facts. But, the CBFC wants to replace this declaration with a slight change. It wants the disclaimer to say that the film is based on partly historical facts and partly fiction.

This connects us to the recent incident of Bhansali where he was alleged to have distorted the historical facts regarding Rajput Queen, Padmavati in his upcoming period drama with the same title. When it comes to films, we can’t expect accuracy as the filmmakers would add some imagination to make it commercially viable, especially in case of historical events for which the facts aren’t entirely available.
